Tow Vehicle and Trailer Weight Limits
Every vehicle has a maximum towing capability determined by the manufacturer.
The gross train weight (GTW) (combined vehicle and trailer weight) cannot exceed the car’s permitted limit.
To ensure safety, the trailer’s weight should not exceed 85% of the car’s kerb weight.

The towbar must be EC type-approved (unless installed on a pre-1998 vehicle).
